SCOUTS AND GUIDES

1)      A total of 191 Cubs, 141  Scouts , 62-Guides  and 263 - Bul-buls  have registered with K.V S State  Bharath Scouts & Guides for the year 2016-17.

2)      A dedicated team  of trained teachers consisting of 

-- 02 Basic, 04 – Advanced & 3-HWB (Scout masters)

-- 03- Basic Guide Captains ,

-- 05 Basic &  3 Advanced Flock Leaders,

--04 Basic & 04-Advanced Cub Masters  & are  working to train Scouts, Guides,  Cubs &Bul-buls as per the guidelines of BS&G,  APRO Part 1,2 & 3.

3)      07- Scouts  have qualified for Rajyapuraskar award held at NAL from 9/7/2016 to 17/7/2016.

4)      Suhas Chand R C and Sharath B S have attended Rashtapathi testing camp at KV, AFS Sulur from 9/12/16 to 17/12/16 and qualified for the same.

5)      The following teachers attended training at KV 1 & 2 Jalahalli

6)      This vidyalaya was the venue for conducting KVS state level Pre- Jamboree for which 239 Scout, 241 Guide plus 60 escort teachers, 10 officials along with VIP’s of B& G of KVS visited our Vidyalaya which was conducted from 24th  December 2016 to 27th December 2016.

7)      It was followed by 17th National Jamboree of Scouts & Guides starting from 28th December 2016 to 3rd January 2017 at Adakanahalli, off the Mysuru-Nanjangud highway which was inaugurated by our inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee .

8)      10 Scouts & 10 Guides of this Vidyalaya also attended Adventure Programme which was held at National Adventure Institute, Pachamrhi from  01.10.2016  to 10.10.2016.

9)      Flag day  on 7th Dec.2016 was celebrated  by Scouts/Guides /Cubs &Bul-Buls of the Vidyalaya in a befitting manner..

10)   Scouts, Guides, Cubs ,Bul-buls have also participated in " Swach Bharat Abiyan " and undertaken campus cleaning activity in the Vidyalaya very enthusiastically.

NCC Achievements 2016-17

Kendriya Vidyalaya Mysore has one of the largest troops of NCC. A total of 150 cadets are enrolled under the NCC Army and Air wing units.  The NCC Army wing is exclusively for girls. At present 50 girl cadets are enrolled under the NCC Army wing functioning through the 3 KAR Army Batallion, Mysuru. The NCC Air wing has an enrolled strength of 100 cadets bor both boys and girls functioning through 4 KAR Air Squadron NCC Mysuru. The air wing has at present 67 boy cadets called as JDs and 33 girl cadets called as JWs.

 

The cadets are imparted training for a duration of two years in theoretical and practical subjects broadly classified as Common and Specialised subjects. As part of their training they are made acquainted with drill, weapon training, aero modelling and map reading  to name a few. They are to compulsorily attend a Annual Training Camp to be eligible for writing the A-certificate Exam.  The cadets are also involved in a variety of social awareness programs viz. Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan, Cashless transactions and Celebrations of important days.

 

  Cadet Katyayini of Class 9th from NCC Army wing and Cadet TejashviSwamy of Class 9th from NCC Air wing  have brought laurels to the Vidyalaya by representing the Karnataka and Goa Directorate for this year’s Republic Day Camp at New Delhi.

  Cadet Shraddha S. of Class 9th from NCC Army wing represented in the ThalSainik Camp (TSC) in the year 2016.

   Third Officer Sumalini H., Librarian, K.V. Mysore is the ANO in charge of the troop under Army Batallion. She was bestowed the Gold medal for successfuly accomplishing the Refresher course for ANOs at OTA, Gwalior.

  Third Officer Mathew Chacko, TGT Science, K.V. Mysore is the ANO in charge of the troop under Air Squadron.

  In the current session 28 JWs from Army wing and 47 JDs and JWs from Air wing have appeared for the A-certificate exam.

 

 

NCC Achievements 2015-16

Kumari Vismitha N.S of IXA is selected for Republic day Camp 2016 which is to be held from 1st Jan 2016 to 28th Jan 2016 at New Delhi. She is also participating in Republic Day parade on 26th Jan 2016.

Kumari Aahnika S of XB received CWS scholarship of Rs 6000/- under NCC Mysore group. She is one among 3 cadets all over Mysore district.
